Hartford, VT — Community members are invited to attend a public education forum on Monday, March 23 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Hartford High School Auditorium to hear from state and local education leaders about the status of transformational education legislation currently being debated in Montpelier.
The forum will be moderated by State Senator Joe Major and panelists scheduled include Vermont Secretary of Education Zoie Saunders, former Secretary of Education and State Representative Rebecca Holcombe, Chair of the Vermont Senate Education Committee Senator Seth Bongartz, Hartford School District Superintendent Caty Sutton, Mountain Views Supervisory Union Superintendent Sherry Sousa, Hartford Representative Esme Cole, and Hartford School Board Chair Nancy Russell.
The discussion will provide an update on proposed education reforms and their potential impact on Vermont’s schools and communities. Audience members will also have the opportunity to ask questions.
“This is an important opportunity for our community to hear directly from leaders working on education policy and to better understand the changes being discussed for Vermont’s education system,” said Senator Major.
