The Windsor County Democratic Committee welcomes Michael “Mike” Hoyt as the newly appointed Vermont Representative to Windsor-4 (Barnard, Pomfret, Bridgewater and West Hartford) replacing Heather Surprenant who resigned for personal reasons this past summer. Mike Hoyt grew up in Norwich, VT and attended UVM and Vanderbilt University Law School. He has worked as an attorney for the Vermont Legislature and the Vermont Department of Labor. He currently works at Dartmouth College. Mike was elected to the Hartford Selectboard in 2021 and is currently Vice-Chair of the Selectboard, having served as Chair the three years prior. Mike and is wife, Natalie, live in West Hartford, VT. They enjoy cooking, traveling, and visiting their many nieces and nephews in Trinidad and Tobago.
